Letter 7 : A year of small observations !

Wow… it has already been a year since I packed my life into four suitcases and moved to Oslo ! ✈️

I still remember that morning so clearly.

My parents drove my brother and me to the airport : Côme being incredibly kind to come with me for the installation.

It all felt a little unreal at the time. Exciting, slightly intimidating and full of possibilities.

Looking back now, it feels like the beginning of a truly beautiful chapter. ✨

I arrived here with very little certainty, but with so much to discover.

One of the greatest gifts of this year has been finding a job that fits my personality so well. At Oslo Raw, I get to do many different things: interact with people, care for others and sometimes create. It feels very natural to me.

Along the way, I have also met the most wonderful people from all over the world.

Every single one of them carries a different story, a different journey.

Listening to them has taught me so much and above all, it constantly reminds me to stay humble.

Their resilience, their courage and the paths they continue to walk inspire me deeply. 🙏🏻

It is funny because I have lived in different countries before.

But this experience feels different.

Maybe because I am older now and perhaps a little wiser (not entirely sure about that ahah).

What feels different is that I am more aware.

I observe more.

I take the time to notice what is happening around me and to feel grateful for it.

Norway feels very different from France in many ways.

What inspires me most here is the relationship Norwegians have with nature and the outdoors.

People simply go outside, all the time. For a walk in the forest, a swim in the fjord or a whole weekend in their hytte : those small cabins surrounded by nature.

I’ve also noticed a certain directness in the way people communicate here. Things are often said simply, without the long polite structures we sometimes use in France.

And emotions seem to be expressed in a quieter, more reserved way.

That is what makes this culture so unique !

Over the past year, Norway has offered me some truly unforgettable moments outdoors.

Summer felt almost magical. I swam in the fjord many times, took small boats to places that looked like they belonged in a storybook and spent countless hours walking through the forest just behind my home.

Autumn arrived with its deep colours, the smell of cinnamon everywhere and more cozy moments indoors.

And then winter came : quiet, white and almost surreal. There is nothing quite like walking through a forest covered in snow, when everything becomes still and silent.

On April 4th, 2026, I will officially begin my second year in Oslo.

2025 was a year filled with determination, surprises and so many small discoveries.

As for this new year ahead, I honestly have no idea what it will bring.

And maybe that is the most beautiful part of it. 💭

What I do know is that I will keep moving forward with the same intentions: seeking happiness, practicing kindness, respecting others and continuing to build a life that feels slow, meaningful and true. 🎈
