Letter 8 : Season of softness and renewal

Since my last letter celebrating one year in Oslo, I feel like many things have quietly started shifting and new perspectives are slowly unfolding for the months ahead… ✨
The past few weeks have been beautifully full : lots of work, precious time with friends and a few little trips that did me so much good.
I first went back to France for a weekend to spend time with my family and then had the chance to escape to London for a few days with a friend.
This city will always hold a very special place in my heart.
I lived there for a year several years ago and I still deeply love its energy : the pub rituals after a long day, the constant noise and movement, the mix of cultures, the tiny concept stores, the coffee shops… and the food too, because yes, I always eat incredibly well in London ahah.
Back in Oslo, I’ve also been spending as much time as possible in the forest : my absolute favourite place to be.
Just above my home, there’s a particular path that always brings me a sense of calm and clarity. Every time I walk there, I leave feeling recharged, and it reminds me how essential nature is to my balance.
There was also the 17th of May, Norway’s National Day, which is probably the most important celebration of the year here. 🎊
The streets fill with people wearing traditional outfits, parades take place all day long and the atmosphere feels both festive and deeply wholesome.
Like last year, I joined friends for an afternoon gathering before ending the evening on a boat cruising around the fjord.
I do have to admit something though : I’m really not a crowd person ahah. In life generally, I will almost always choose the quieter option whenever possible.
For the occasion, I spent time cooking little things to share because cooking for others is genuinely one of the things that brings me the most joy.
Summer is slowly approaching and I hope I’ll get to enjoy it as much as I did last year : swimming in the fjord, spending long evenings on terraces, going on little boat trips and maybe finally exploring the south of Norway : a region I’ve been dreaming of discovering for a long time now.
At the same time, I’ve been feeling particularly inspired lately.
My mind is filled with ideas, creative desires and new projects, even if I don’t yet know exactly what shape they will take.
But in the end, I think what matters most is continuing to build a life that makes me feel alive, inspired and creatively fulfilled.
And you, what has been bringing you joy lately? I would truly love to hear from you and chat a little. ❣️
